Can I just talk about jevils dialogue for a second cause I feel like the fandoms kind of misinterpreting it

This line here- "THEY LOST THE CHASE, AND LOCKED UP THEIR ENTIRE RACE, BUILDING A PRISON AROUND THE WHOLE WORLD. NOW I’M THE ONLY FREE ONE. "

I've seen people say he's referring to his knowledge of deltarune being a game, or that everyone is in a mental prison and things like that, and that's probably relevant too and maybe I'm the one misinterpreting it here, but it seems to me that he's not referring to a mental prison, but a physical one.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that our chaotic jester boi is saying that instead of the kings locking up only jevil, he built the prison walls encasing all of the dark world but the small patch of land that jevil is in. This would make the "why don't you let yourselves outside" line when you have the key make sense since he's referring to the lightners releasing themselves from what jevil perceives as the actual prison into the small area of freedom there is left from his perspective.

Like that one bit in a tv show I forgot the name of where the person in jail is annoying the person outside of jail by saying that from their perspective, the person outside looks like the one behind bars.

I think what jevil is saying about his prison is that the kings had built a prison around all the dark world, leaving the room jevil is in the only place that's not in a prison
